All I want is some 3" shot shells in something besides steel for upland game birds. Why has it become so difficult to find anymore? 10 super center Wal-Marts within 20 miles....no 3" shells. All the 2 3/4" I can carry out the door, Bass Pro.....no 3" in anything except "steel" or like material, Cabella's ......none! I'd just like to be able to shoot a dove or two with some lead 3 inch shells. My semi-auto will not cycle 2 3/4. Yea I'm Griping , sorry but I'm kinda dumb founded and stupified at how hard it has become to find a "normal" shot shell anymore.

I wish. Dropping more cash, that I don't have. It'll be enough if I can put gas in the truck this fall just to get out there.

Why would you want 3" shells for dove?

Mossberg 935 <------------------------------------#####

Only 3 and 3 1/2 until it gets GOOD and broke in. 2 3/4 work great in my pump, but not the Mossy semi. Come duck season, no problem, all the 3's I want in steel and whatever.

Try shooting a heavy 2.75 load and see if the Mossy will run it. I know they advertise that is is only a 3 and 3.5 gun but it may shuck the heavier 2.75 loads.

I personally wouldnt want to shoot a box or a box and a half of 3inchers at dove. Maybe I am just a wuss.

Either that or I'll just use my pump 835. Oh well. As for a box of 3 or 3 1/2 inchers, you should come with us when we chase snows around all day. I've shot up to four boxes in a day of 3 1/2 magnum BB or BBB. The shoulder's a little sore the next day but you really don't feel it until the FIRST shot of the day after.

Are you talking about Snows or Can's. And ya, 4 boxes in a day. Easy to do. Done it many times. We chase the snows sun up to sun down during the conservation order during late season. No bag limit, no shotgun plugs and basically just a free for all kill as many as you can.

Stouff I've seen over 50 snows go down at one time, many times! You get 5-6 guys, 5-6 shots, and that's only ONE time during the day! Better have lots of freezer bags and a sharp knife.

Shows what I know. I would of thought this type of conservation order on snows would of been for the entire U.S. not just here! The order this year takes effect on 1 Feb. 2006 to 30 April 2006. We get 'em when they head south and when they are heading back north! During the regular snow season Oct 29 '05- Jan 31 '06 the limit is 20 a day. After that, get as many as you can.

MQ1...I'm in the St. Louis area. We do the same thing in the SE part of the state. Run and gun baby. :salude: If we see a group of 5 or 6 thousand birds in a field we'll stop, load the guns, sneak up a bar ditch or tree line and come up blazin. Chasing the cripples is half the fun.
