Question, I found a species of duck (Im sure that they are common) at Mosquito Lagoon - Dark blue, almost black, dark beek (not white) sortof a long neck, but not that long, and they seemed to have a dimond shaped light marking on there wings at full spread. They duck into the water- but not dive from flight, and hold there breath for a long time. They flew like a standard duck, and hung out in groups of 3 to 10. I know that they are not coot- or mallard (of cource) I could not find a pict on line- any one know what they might be?
