I know someone can give me some tips to catching spring bass besides catching them on the beds with lizards, crawfish, and such. What to fish and what structure to fish it. I know a rouge, spinnerbait, senko, and buzzbaits are good. What color buzzbaits?

What other kinda top water baits are good?

orangefoot the fluke works best IMO when bass are schooling and chasing shad...as for the buzzbait i have always found that white, or black work the best...but it is more of an irritation strike on buzzers anyway...i am not an expert by any means and you will probably get several different opinions...try them all and use what works best for you in your area...the spitn image or a rebel POP'R are one of my favorites as well as a Zara Spook...that thing is killer on a calm day shallow or deep water...bounce spinnerbaits and crankbaits off of stumps and stop reeling letting them sink or rise and that is usually when you will get bit the hardest on those...hope this helps a little...

If it seems the bass are not are not really on the beds yet, then focus on the ledge or deeper water a little ways from the beds. If the fish aren't in full spawn, then they will be staging in the deeper water just off the beds.

we've been fishing it too. most of our fish are 15" fish. the bigger fish seemed to have moved out of the shallows.
water aint too cold though. it was actually hittin 63 degrees at the beginning of March. at 65 degrees, those big bass start spawning. water temp. was higher than that last weekend. right now should be good though. wish i was off this week!

i shouldnt have said most, but theyve definitely started.

He has a farm in Mamou?

If so we get lots of ducks and geese here. Mostly teal and spoons with a heavy sprinkling of big ducks also. We get lots of geese all snows, blues, and specks.
