hey everybody ready for spring goose.....I know i am just wondering what everyones tacktics are for them in the spring.....i mainly crawl up

I live in mobridge now and might be moving to aberdeen soon. I am the only one in this area to hunt them in the spring so i get all the fields to my self and not alot of people shooting at the birds.

I origanlly i am from watertown so i have and lived in aberdeen when i was little so my dad knows alot of good places around there. Cant wait for the snow geese to get here :salude:

I hunt 2 places in the spring, over by scatterwood lake or over by sand lake.

i usually hunt my farm and areas between hwy12 and sandlake

There is a sand lake over on 83 by mound city that i hunt. No one else hunts them over here so not alot of presure and pretty easy to get land. I was surprised at the numbers they get over here.

I got some land I can hunt over north of bowdle on the county line, there is a bunch of public land that they sit on there and I don't think they get alot of pressure over there, I might have to go there this spring.

Well I heard from a friend tonight that the geese are suppose to be here by Sunday, but I don't think it is very likely

Well guys... we've got birds! Went scouting yesterday and found birds down in the Silver Lake area. There were somewhere between 50,000 and 70,000 there and more were piling in from the stratosphere. We ended up with a couple nice mature snows via some pass shooting, but for the most part they didn't waste any time getting altitude coming back down some once out over the fields. Went north up to about Madison and saw nothing but honks, everything was still locked up. I heard they've also got somewhere around 20,000 in the Hurley area as well.

well guys i heard snows flying last night in the dark....alot of snows down by miller, sd. Im begging to wonder how its gonna work out this year since every one has reported just hearing them flying at night.
