I'll be coming to South Dakota this week to do some pheasant hunting. I'll be staying in Yankton, South Dakota. I'm arriving sometime on Thursday, November 16th.
I was hoping to possibly be able to get in a couple of days of duck hunting while I'm there.
I'v never been to South Dakota before though. I believe there are some leftover nonresident waterfowl licenses available: however, as I understand it, these are for private land only.
Would anyone have any suggestions for the best opportunity to get a duck hunt in, or would anyone want to do a duck hunt on Thursday or Friday ?
I was thinking of doing a hunt on one of the walk in areas if I could find a small pond but as I understand it the leftover licenses are only able to be used on private property.
