Okay, I haven't done any scouting, or really been looking since Saturday's hunt. I come home yesterday and was in awe at the amount of birds I saw flying the river. Honestly maybe 8,000 birds milling around, flying over the river, refugee, and luckily my slough. I was starting to wonder what the birds did now since the warmup, now I know!!! Looks like another awesome weekend in store for me, luckily it is a 4 day weekend for me as well!!!! Just hope my slough thaws out all the way, as the ducks were sitting on ice yesterday!!!

Ya there are still tons of birds around here. With my job I drive around NEOK all day, I dont think I have ever seen so many geese than I have seen the last two weeks! I checked two of my spots yesterday afternoon and they both had nearly 1000 ducks and geese(mallards, snows and canadas) This weekend should be awsome! Good luck guys!!!

I just got back from scouting with my brother and we found thousands in a field. We are trying to figure out the owner so we can maybe ask for permission to hunt. there are around 500 canadas 1000 snows and some mallards in there.i almost peed my pants when i saw em all lol.should be an interesting thursday and sunday,if we can get some permission to hunt. :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:
