Actually, pintail re-opened on the 7th, Dec and runs until the end of regular duck season but you can blast only one per day.

A week ago I was out in paterson on the river and while I was pissing a giant flock of pintails flew about 20 yards out right through my decoys. I was so pissed! well, in more ways than one... I see quite a few in paterson, just haven't been lucky enough to decoy one in..

i got one pintail drake on the 9th he scared the **** out of me because i was calling at a couple other ducks and he snuck me from behind no noise just a splash and that ended his day

my reg book said it was closed till 2005, I guess thats a typo?

DUCKS: Oct. 16-20, 2004 and Oct. 23, 2004 - Jan. 30, 2005, except pintail and canvasback season closed Oct. 23 - Dec. 6, 2004.
