I,m not sure about the 935 but I hunt with 3 guys that have Nova's. All 3 guys have the same problem, the elevator doesn't work. Two of them bought the gun and within a year it was unreliable (luckily still under warranty). I know that there are a lot of Nova fans out there, but from what I've seen I wouldn't get one.

I would say go with a BPS or an 870. Of all pumps I've seen take a beating in the field, these 2 take it bad and still function.

If you have the money the BPS is probably the best out there. The thing is, unless you REALLY want to stick with a pump, you can get a lot of great auto's for close to the same price...

I have several Novas and I too had a carrier problem, but a good gunsmith diagnosed the problem. The plastic magazine plunger was worn and hanging up. Replaced it with a Sure Cycle and haven't had another issue.

I say Supernova. Never owned or shot a 935, so my opinion is probably a bit biased....

Only real problem i've had is the carrier issue also, but like cowboy said, a gunsmith can take care of that.

I have shot the 935, but not the super nova. It can't be much diff than my 1st generation Nova

I like them both.........we did have a misfire prob with the 935, but it was fixed with a new firing pin spring
