Has anyone heard of this before?? SX3 is only 3 years old with minimal use duck and goose hunting. The part of the magazine tube where the brass ring is located failed and has a chunk of the magazine tube missing. The gun still shoots fine as a single shot but it won't eject shells due to all of the gases coming out before the gas piston.

Any ideas what could have caused this? I have to think it is a factory defect and they should cover it, but i doubt i will be that lucky.

Do you have an actual hole in the magazine tube? If so they are easily replaced but I would contact Winchester and get them to warranty it.

Good day
The same thing just happened to my Winchester SX3. I am shooting Black Cloud BB
Did you get it repaired ? Did you replace the tube yourself ? If so what is the procedure for removing the old tube ? Did they cover it on warranty ? I will try and attach a picture of mine.

Doesn’t the tube thread in and out? That should be an easy fix. I have (2) Super X 3’s that are at least 8 years old. Neither have ever jammed but all that has been run through them are Remington Sportsman, Hevi Steel, DryLok and Xpert. One has shot a lot of 3.5’s. The one I shoot the most has had 3” run through it for the most part. Now I am going to 2-3/4” finding it works just fine 30 yards and in.

Good gosh almighty, all this talk of hunting the woods and its traditions, and you're just now starting to shoot 2 3/4" shells? What kind of "tree-topper" were you?

(He asks with half a grin.)
