Well, I will not be turkey hunting tomorrow as I have to work  With it going out tomorrow here in Va. I guess you could say the fat lady is singing my song. BUT looking back on the season here in Va, at least in my turkey woods anyway, it was a bit quieter than usual. Just did not get to work the turkeys I'd like too  but did get into one birds head and invited him home for dinner. Having said that I'd like to say thanks to all my new huntin buddies here on DHC. Having our own limb to set on and talk turkey,For me, this spring our site has made it" the spot to sit and talk about the hunt". It's been fun and I do hope you all will continue to stop in and let us know just what you are up to!

Wherever you venture off to and whatever you do...Be safe

It was a good year for turkey's to get away. I hunted hard but things didn't work out. I'm thankful that three made it to the house. First time in several years I didn't have a limit. But hey thats why it's called hunting. I'm glad we have a place to roost here!! I'm going to work on the beard board tomorrow. Get everything hung up ill take a picture and post it. Hey at least VA has a fall season Cut-un. I've got a little female that absolutely loves to flush turkey's. Wish we had a fall season. The count down is on now, 120 days till resident goose season.
