We got them to come over real low yesterday to take a look. They were well within range. You can do it. If we would've had one goose floater the other day we would've limited out on Canadas
We were on a lake one time and had out nothing but duck decoys. 8 canadas came over the top of us then turned and came straight in to the decoys locked up. We got 5 of em, no calling, and no goose dekes.
called a small group into the duck dekes one day a few years ago. it can be done but if its possible and theres a good chance of seeing some i would throw some goose dekes out
I dont know if it was our decoys, but we got a whole group (atleast 30) to land in front of us ealier in the season (we only set out a few mallard decoys on shore!)
I've only decoyed a few singles that i can remember, but have had many opportunities at low passing shots. It can be done, but with any consistency? Prob not. My .02
