I'm not sure it's worthy of bragging but we bagged 10 on the opener with three guys. It was the most ducks we have seen in the last 15 years for the northern opener in north central Illinois. We hunted flooded corn and could have easily bagged a limit if the wind had been in our favor. Ended with a mix bag, mostly GWT but a couple mallards and woodies mixed in.
I agree - the north was going off on opener. We ended up have 4 guys out in a dry cut field and popped limits of geese in 30 minutes (we happened to be on the x). We sat out another hour just because we saw a good amount of ducks flying around and we popped 9 total ducks between the 4 of us. After that we grabbed our bows and sat in tree stands on the property near a creek and two of us got two nice bucks.
