The other day i noticed my trailer swaying back and forth every now and then, going down the road, bearings and all are in good shape, any idea what would cause this, it's a small trailer, 16' boat, 12" tires?????????
That is the exact reason, you need more weight on the tongue, you shouldn't even notice the trailer is there while towing it.the old man said:Check to see if you have the boat to far back on the trialer. If you don't have enough wieght on the tongue, it can cause it to sway side to side.
:dito: the Tongue weight should be about 15% of the total trailer/load weight :thumbsup:captainduckhead said:That is the exact reason, you need more weight on the tongue, you shouldn't even notice the trailer is there while towing it.the old man said:Check to see if you have the boat to far back on the trialer.
