Update: This cold weather blows. Heard a few gobblers near by on the first morning but the rain made it so my slate call wouldnt work and didnt want to try and put a sneak on. Didnt shoot any turkeys but could of shot a few limits of ducks, a couple of geese, a rooster and multiple deer. Hopefully this weather changes quickly.
this is the reason I like spring turkey hunting so much.

Next week is looking warmer, getting excited to go out.

Congrats guys! I was looking out the window at lunch today and watched 6-8 jakes walking through the back yard and still am hearing a few gobbles. Hopefully those who still have a tag are able to get out a few more times and fill it.

Nice work y’all….. I never got out and I won’t, I realized I just don’t care to chase turkeys when it’s that transition from nothing but mud to the spring crappie bite… no time for turkeys

Today I woke up late. Run outside to hear a gobble. Throw all the clothes on, grab the gun and decoys, and head out. Not wanting to spook them if they're in the field I walked the road. Probably a good thing since they were still in the tree and they all busted out in every direction when I walked down it. Quick hit the inside corner of the field around the corner from them, put up the decoys, jumped in the weeds, gave a call, then popped one as they walked by.
