I still have Buddy, the Yellow Lab/Pointer. I posted an ad in the paper last week and got 3 calls. 1 was a vet, which would have been great, but he wanted a inside dog and only had 1/2 and acre. Then a guy with 4 kids youngest 2 oldest 9. He only had an acre. But i don't think they would have time for him, and they are in a neighborhood. So, i placed some fliers in Co-ops in surrounding counties. While we were driving around we saw a truck that had an advertisement for a horse farm and bed and breakfast, so we gave them a flier while stopped at a traffic light. lol
We also drove around some roads of land of big houses and lots of land and the houses that we could see him living with we put some fliers there.
Keep your fingers crossed.
He has mastered jumping the fence. But only does it occanisionly. Today he did. And he has figured out that if he does it when we are still around i will put him in the house, so he does it when we aren't around. Anyway, to the point, When we got home he was laying in the driveway. He stode up and was holding a plastic tied wal-mart bag in his mouth. I got out and he dropped it infront of my feet and i then relized there was a pile of poop in it. lol.
I have been working with him on heeling on lead and he had done really well, he also comes when called.
A lady that i work with who has taugh me everything i know, wants me to babysit a 6 month old puppy Rottie that her client owns. But i am to coax her into the shows and show her it is ok. She comes Thursday and Sunday i will trade her out for a boy that is about 1 year old also a Rottweiler. I will have him for about 2 weeks and she wants ME to train him to sit, come, stay, stand, back up.. everything!! But i am really trilled that i have the pleasure to do all this and that she trusts my abbilitys enough.
