I stummbled onto your Montana board a few weeks back by accident, as Im from Oregon, and I ended up scolling through some threads and what not. Let me tell ya, you montana boys sure do knock the crap outta the mallards! :hammer: My goodness  Seen some very impressive field pics from everyone at a fairly consistant basis. I thought I was killin lots of birds...nope!

I knew Montana was something like the 3rd highest producing state for waterfowl, but I had no idea all the greenheads and honkers! WOW..speechless. Just thought Id share my thoughts...and if Im ever in MT, im gonna look you up for a hunt phutch

Have a good rest of the season!

The willamette valley...Eugene to be exact. Lived here since '92. The valley is usually pretty decent on ducks and geese, but nothin to what I've seen on your forum (as far as pics go).

Dont get any specks or snows in the Willamette valley besides the occasional loner or rare flock. K.falls and the lower are good for late season specks and snows. Ive only shot one snow in the valley 2 years ago and last season we landed a decent sized flock of specks during the late season when you can't shoot 'em in the valley. You'll see them migrating south in sept/oct. but not now.
