With my boy turning 1 just before season didn't get out as much this year. Opening day was blue wing- tactic. A few gadwall rich mornings. Otherwise some slow hunts up until last weekends. Got into some big flocks of snows, mallards, and honkers. Wasn't great season but some years are just better than others.

A little atypical for me, had pretty much zero interest in scouting and hunting geese this year. Beat up on the BWT as usual opening week; ran a lot of traffic on mallards in corn, and had some good & traffic hunts on mallards and snows around freeze up. Did more pheasant and deer hunting this year than the last 4 years combined.

First hunt since I broke my leg Jan 1. Thanks to big E for setting up everything and helping me limp into the field. 2 guys 21 birds near poinsett.
