I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of a company called Westpoint that makes rifles, my grandfather passed away about a year ago and i just found out that he had a .22 rifle so i asked if I could have it? But I have never heard of the maker.

i have a giant catalog of firearms and westpoint firearms wasnt in it. the catalog tells prices on what its worth today in different conditions and i gives some history on the guns. so it must not be a very big company.

Keep in mind that years back, it was fairly common for a major manufacturer to produce guns with someone else's name on it (Sears, Montgomery Ward, and even larger hardware stores, etc). With so many different stampings, I know not all make it into the gun value/guide books.

There are two options that come to mind, but I very well could be mistaken. IIRC, Marlin made a West Point .22 (not sure of the model number). Stevens also made a West Point model 121 in .22. There may be others, but that is all my feeble mind could come up with.
