I am looking for one and am wanting opinions. Will be for a 28 inch barrel. I looked at cabales and there are not so good reviews.

I have the Avery Floating Folding Case (http://www.cabelas.com/gun-cases-avery-folding-floating-shotgun-case-2.shtml). It is sold out right now at Cabela's but I saw it at a few other stores when I did my Google search.

I would give it an 8 out of 10. I tested it and it does float but in that test, some water did get in through the velco. That is really my only complaint about the case.

Also need to keep in mind that in order for it to be able to fold, there are some areas down the case where padding is purposely missing. So if your gun in the case may bang around on a boat, I would not recommend it.

Rogers sporting goods has a good floating gun case for a great price. I have one and I like it better than any Avery case I've ever had. It zips up full length plus has a fold over and buckle at the back. Check it out.

I like my Drake one that opens all the way up. Works good for me

I think the Drake case is the best design and we have three of them. However, like most drake products they are put together poorly. Straps fall off etc. But I know a chinese guy that sews them back on cheap so no biggy. Being able to open them up all the way is great!

i like the folding case yes there are spots that are missing foam so it can fold but in most of the blinds i have been it i like it because it doesnt take up as much room also works great for extra padding in a layout blind.

I have a Alen floating case. This case is 4 years old now and still going. This case loads from the back with velcro flap and strap. The only draw back to this type of case is it dose not open all the way up. But i just put it on my boot dryer to dry the inside and i think it is a small price too pay.

^^^ I also have a Allen. I like it. Built well. Not any crazy parts or straps or pockets to mess with. I personally like the full Velcro flap over just a fold flap. Has held up well this past season and I'm sure many more to come. I believe i payed $17-$20 for it, full max-4 camo.

I have the Cabelas floating case and it has worked fine for me. My gun has a 28" barrel and with the extended choke tube it's about 30" and it fits in there good.

I'd lot rather have the Velcro instead of a zipper. I can't stand the junky plastic zippers and metal zippers and water don't mix well. So give me the full length Velcro any day. My Drake one has been rock solid for the 3 years I've used it

Been using a Browning floating case for the last 8 years. It works and has lasted. The pocket is big enough to have all the chokes.

I've never tested to see if it actually floats with a gun inside.

I've had my Final Approach Inside Edge for the last 9 seasons and it has held up great. I'm actually looking to get another one for my 20ga. Well worth the $60 I paid.

I use the Drake Floating Gun Case too and like it.. only problem Ive had with it is that my brothers and buddies bought the same one after seeing mine...

A bit of advice if your hunting buddies do buy the same case tie a piece of something bright to yours because theres nothing like walking to different sides of a lake cut and spend time building a blind to get in and unpack, just to find out your SBE2 is with your buddy and your holding there p.o.s. :help:

I'm using the cabelas full zip case. Works just for the year I've had it. My only beef with it is that when zipping it closed, once you get to the end they didn't fully stretch the zipper when stitching it down. Because of that when its zipped closed there is still a dime size gap in the zipper.

Other than that it works fine. Holds my A300, two chokes w/ wrench, syringe of white lithium grease and small can of Balistol.

iv got a FA case and last season it started to fail on me. The black nylon lining ripped on the inside and exposed the foam that they use for protection and floatation. Going to look into a rodgers case after hearing you guys speek well about em. Let this be a reminderfor you fellas, if you see that your starting to pull out foam with you gun when uncasing it, check the barrel and action to make sure theres nothing in there.
