Kind of neet that they used a white feather for the side of that drake cansvasback.

I thought there were some real old ones in Egypt too.

I think if you found one 2k years old--you would be able to retire. Heck some of the wood ones from 100 years ago are fetching $100k+

There is an article on Nativetech.com on how to make duck decoys out of cattail reeds. The Indians would hide their head under a woven basket and be in the dekes and grab the ducks by the feet and drown them.

:cool: I feel a little over equipped with all the painted decoys, gun, dog and other stuff. All ya need is a basket and some reeds.

I wonder if hiding under a basket and drowning ducks would be legal? It could be trapping.
