I am looking for a 12ga that will shoot at least 3" steel shot with a removable choke. Anybody have one they want to sell, that's not too much money? Pump or auto is fine. Not intrested in o/u or sxs. Thanks guys!

I use a Browning BPS (Pump) up to 3 1/2 shells and you can pick them up new for around $400 at cabalas. Thing I like most about it is it is a bottom feed bottom eject. No throwing hot shells on your buddy during a pass.

If you're looking for something really inexpensive, you can't go wrong by picking up a Maverick 88 12 guage. It's a Mossberg offshoot, and Sports Authority has them for $180. I've had one for 13 years, and my kid still hunts with it. It shoots 3", and has removeable chokes.

I've never heard of a Maverick but that is definitely the price I am looking for. Thanks for the info, I will have to check it out. How is the fit for you?

Second on the Benelli Nova.

The Mossbergs and Mavericks will probably do just fine...but, if you can squeeze out another 100-150 bucks, you just can't go wrong with the durability and reliability of the Nova...and you won't need to upgrade or purchase another gun in a few years. I actually switched from a Browning BPS to one.

I've had it since they first came out in 1999, it has been abused, neglected and beat up... but it is still my "first out" shotgun.
