I have seen this before. Guys can be extroverts on the sites but in real life are real quite. And vice versa. And there are times too they are the same in person as on the site. One never knows. :withstupid:
ha ha...or the guy that spends all his time posting about how ethical and responsible of a hunter he is..never skybusts, respects birds working other people's spreads (for us WMA hunters), and always does 'more' than his share of the work.....then you go hunt with the guy and it goes something like this:
6:35am - sluices hen mallard in the dekes. still 4 minutes to shoot time, but hey. what's 4 minutes between friends. and should it matter that you were still out there adjusting the left side of the spread when she landed??
6:50am - 4 hen mallards in the bag, he was nice enough to shoot your two as well as his... seeing as how they were all finishing on "his" side of the blind anyway.
7:00am - wanders off to take a pee. starts calling at ducks from his 'position' in the bushes 80 yards away from the blind.
7:02am - sees ducks working dekes..runs out of bushes and tries to make it the blind before the ducks see him....ducks fly off. he blames you for moving too much, calling too much, dog moving around, etc. etc.
7:30am - sluices a big bull sprig on "his" side..
7:31am - whacks "your" hen pintail as she circles back..
8:00am - breaks out the whisky flask...hey, it's 5 o'clock somehwere.
9:00 am - drunk and disorderly does not describe your 'partner'...100 yard shots are the norm and the "third" hen pintail has been stomped into the mud somewhere behind the blind. (why did you agree to take his boat???)
10:00am - passed out...only wakes up long enough to blow his call and make sounds like a racoon being dragged down the freeway at 60mph..once all ducks in the area are gone..he is safe to pass out again.
11:00am - regains conscioucness...declares that it is time to go and that you should start packing dekes while he checks the boat and brings it around.
11:30am - all dekes are packed..here he comes with the boat. (how long does it take to drag a boat 50 feet anyway?)
1:15pm - arrive at 'the meeting place' to drop you off at your rig..he graciously gives you all the ducks. probably figures that makes you even for the breakfast you bought him.
nah....that could never happen.... :toofunny:
