I think its a gimmick gun. The only thing I could think of is for stopping a carjacking. But then again a .45 with hydrashoks would do the same thing.

I have one. Pretty accurate with the .45 colt and the shot shells are effective for squirrels when Im out grouse hunting and dont want to blow the squirrel in half. shotshells wouldnt kill someone (generally) but it would make them stop what they are doing. If they persist, the .45 colt wil tear them a new one. I like it

Also, I have tried shooting skeet with it... Did ok if the clay was close, but past 10 yards I couldnt hit sh*t haha
The rifled barrel throws the shot into a wide pattern

They come back to the gunsmiths at work all the time. I wouldn't have one if you bought it for me. I don't like Taurus at all. Junky guns, trust me if you saw how many come back as I did you'd understand. I know some people are going to flame about it anyway, but whatever buy what you want. They've got a lifetime warrantee. You get what you pay for in a pistol. If you really want one that shoots .410 shells check this out, I wouldn't mind having one myself plus they're made right here in the USA:
