Duck blind ideas

This year my lease is a flooded rice feild with no pit. Actually it will be two partial feilds flooded with a small levee running between the two. Both feilds will be harvested and will have very little cover in them. I'm hoping the levee road will have some grass or something on it to build a blind on possibly. I have always hunted out of a pit but see guys in the area with blinds built in the middle of the flooded feild and brushed up. I was just wondering if that works ok or any ideas for a blind. We do plan on hunting out of layout blinds also but would like to build a blind. Thanks for any info

Brush one up ..put it the middle where they feel safer ...use green oak branches if you can get them ..use stubble ..rippy grass ....
put the blind on 2 - 2x6 or 2- 2x8 's ...build up from there taper the ends like a sled ...then you can pull it around and put it where the birds are using ........bailing wire or chicken fencing to hold the brush on

We have a 4 man blind in great shape we dont use anymore. It is on skids will fit on a 16' trailer and we would sell it for $600 if your interested. has a central back door design has had a ton of birds killed out of it, easy to brush and move, we move them with an old mule. Let me know if you are interested, only problem is it is in Sumner Missouri.

Thanks for all the info. The water probably will be 6'' to a foot. I have four final attack layout boats I was just concerned that the ducks would flare on them or flare on a blind in the middle since there will probably be absolutely no stubble in the feild to hide in. Also we will be hunting up to 6 or 7 guys. The water in this feild will be horseshoe shaped or u shaped with dry ground in the center. I thought about putting are layout blinds in the u on the dry ground and since there is no cover putting 200 to 500 snow goose wind socks around blinds and 10 to 15 dozen floater duck decoys in the water and a few dozen full body mallards and pintails around the blinds also. What do you guys think
