I haven't been there a while, but the river itself is pretty deep there and the banks were steep, south of the launch. I would check out the Fort Boise WMA page on the fish and game site

It looks like the area is open, but again, check the terrain first, I remember it being pretty deep and steep in that area.

 

I agree with the above stated. That whole area in general is great if you have a boat but if not it's pretty tough to find spots that you can wade more than 10 feet from the bank if that.
