You can't find them from behind a keyboard, you'll have to go out scouting. Mallards aren't common down here and what's here this week will most likely be somewhere else the next. If you're dead set on a mallard, you'd be better off taking a trip to an area that has them on a more consistent basis.

 

Yup. Mallards are few and far between in the Tensaw Delta. Rumor is, the further north you go the better. For instance, I am told they are found with relative ease near Demopolis. Just not a lot of them further south IME.
