Hunting CA's???

I was looking for new options to try for some late season duck and goose hunting. I found some conservation areas that allow waterfowl hunting. I am just curious if anyone has ever tried to hunt any CA's as opposed to duck parks. In particular Callaway-Reform and I noticed some big strip pits at Catawissa. Just looking for some opinions.

Protip... If you want lots of other guys to join you there, keep the name of the CA's up on this webpage. Otherwise, I would use an acronym or some other identifier. The search feature makes spots very easy to steal if you post a name. FYI.

To answer your Q, went to Ref in dove season and did so so. Did not see many ducks there, as the land is high and dry. Good for rabbits and coyotes... bad for anything with a bill.

I do predatore hunt Ref and it is great.

I have never tried the other spot, but it looks early season ducky... and like a big ice cube this time of year.

CP,
Thank you for the advise. The way I see it is that I am a total beginner and have almost no idea what i am doing. I get all my information from websites and reading. I figure at this juncture of my duck hunting experience the more specific questions I ask the more specific answers I will get. I can also take information that I am finding and look for similar places to those that I am asking about to find a different spot. Many people will not post helpful info about spots right back on here but I have had a few send me PM's with bits of advice. Thank you to everyone for the sharing of information on this website. Like I said this is my first year, and as the sloughs start to freeze up I am losing places that I can only access by boat. I will hunt the Mo river also but just looking for other options and ideas.

Thank you,
Mike
