I would suggest doing some scouting for hunting spots. Put in some time knocking on doors, checking our maps, and driving around with binos. I just joined the site recently, and I couldn't even find locals willing to work with me or teach me until I hand land secured and places to hunt.

I found out very quickly that in this sport, you need to put in the time finding hunting spots and have something to offer back if you expect others to help

 

Look up Lake George , about 1 hour south of you . If you have no boat , you can hunt from the bank . You will of course need waders , you can wade pretty far out from the bank with a lot of natural cover out in the lake . Get some decoys , use only coots and ringers , maybe 6 coots and 2 to 3 ringers (no Mallards) . Don't use a call . Good luck soldier !

Boat or wadding/ hiking/swimming will be a happening.

 

You have plenty of spots near you to hunt. I know hunting is allowed on camp Blanding, but I'm not sure about ducks so I would look into that as well. Plenty of small lakes and ponds around ya.
