As promised, here is our second preview of one of our new blinds for your review and feedback. This is our version of a sissors style pop-up blind. We have been using pop-ups for years and have liked them in alot of applications. Our biggest complaint has been that so many of the "blinds in a box" just don't fit right and are not built heavy duty enough to last more then a few seasons, so we decided to work one up ourselves that we felt would overcome many of these sort comings. We understand that not everyone is a fan of boat blinds or pop-ups in general, so this blind is not for everyone, but we think it is the best built pop-up out there.

Here are the pics and details:

This is a typical sissors blind, just pull the center strap and up it goes:

Pull the flaps over and you have overhead cover:

Pop-up and shoot:

You can set it up salt box or flat top and ours will close completely for they guys who sleep out to get the best spots:

We offer a dog door placed to your specs as well:

Again, sissors blinds and various versions have been around along time, both in homemade blinds and productions blinds, but we think our version is just a little better built and will last.

Here are the easy adjusters, thick wall piping, heavy bolted pivots, notice no plastic, no clips, no hooks to break, all welded and HD:

Notice the mounts, we can make mounts for any boat, but we do not need any cross bars, that leaves more room for the dog to get to the deck.

The corners are fitted, double reinforced and stitched so they lay flat and close up weather tight. Zippers on uppers and velco on the lower half.

Drops fast and easy for running or chasing cripples:

Notice how nice the front lays and the number of grassing straps. We put alot of grassing straps on this blind so your grass stays where you want it.

The new Phowler Total Concealment Superfly Blind System is available in standard openings of 10' or 12' for boats 48-60 wide ) bottoms up to 18' long. Extra Large blinds are also available for boats up to 20' long and up to 72" wide. These are not cookie cutter blinds, they are designed to fit your boat, but they can be adjusted to other boats down the road if you change boats. They are not a "blind in a box", we custom build them and fit them to your boat. We can ship them, but it will add expense as they are not made up of a bunch of small pipes, the long runs are continueous pipe. We can section it at an additonal charge.

Again, we are not trying to compete with mail order blinds or lightweight popups with this blind, it is meant to fill a gap in the market for folks who want a very well built, finished and heavy duty pop-up blind that will last for a lifetime of use.

Tell us what you think.

Been comparing boat prices and a SeaArk 14-48 mv costs about $2500 bucks while a Phowler is $3900. I could buy two blinds for the amount saved by getting the cheaper boat. That's pretty well a no-brainer and that's about how much brains I got.
Have you been comparing boats or just boat prices. I'm not knocking SeaArk, they are fine boats, but I don't think it is an apples to apples comparison. I think you would find the Phowler a more heavily built boat and it is semi-custom.

I just wanted to give a personal review of the Phowler Boats, and the Illowa Marine team.

I've got to say that one of the only good things about living in IL is the fact that Illowa is closer to home for me than most. I took the trip out to their shop this weekend and I was impressed before I even got there. Their staff member ( Bill ) was kind enough, and completely willing to go above and beyond by agreeing to show me around the yard and the warehouse on a Sunday (a scorcher), when most folks would tell you not even to bother.

I appreciated Bill's knowledge of each one of the model boats, blinds, and their applications in the field and it made what could have been a tough a relief. One of the best things about these boats/blinds is that fact that they have thought of almost everything, and yet they continue to add, and adjust all of the smallest details in an effort to provide the best boats and blinds available anywhere. I was even lucky enough to get a tour of the shop where the Phowler Team assembles these beasts. All I can say is WOW  They have every tool you could imagine necessary to build your boat/blind correctly.

I will be placing my order shortly for a custom Light Marsh model blind, and I am beyond comfortable and excited to have the Phowler/Illowa team build a blind.

Well done guys!! :clapping:

Exactly! He's comparing a .100 gauge production boat to a .125 semi-custom built hull. Big difference!

Bill is a great guy! Not only does he build the boats but he hunts out of them as well. He knows how to run them, how to hunt, & how to weld. An unusual combination & we are glad to have him on staff.
