I'm interested to see what it patterns with the mod and imp cyl chokes. Me personally I haven't got out to shoot skeet as much as I want to, and went from my 1100 mod barrel to an older 870 WM full barrel, just a little different feeling. I like to not shoot at birds over 30 yards, and 25 if I can help it. Looking at a few different 3.5" semis for next year, and have to go to cabelas and shoulder a few to finally decided. with the price I definitely will keep this one in mind.

I bought an M3500 in August to use as my primary duck gun. So far I've really not had any problems with it, other than it not ejecting/cycling low dram eq. shells which the gun is known not to cycle properly anyways so that's not a problem in my book. However, I did have my first FTF today though when I was duck hunting. I think what happened had to do with that whole inertia driven system problem of the bolt not closing completely. What I don't get, is when I went up to shoot at flock of wigeon, the gun went bang, the shell cycled properly, and a hen wigeon dropped. But then when I went to shoot at a drake in the flock, the gun did not fire. How could the bolt not have closed completely after being cycled backwards and forwards by the power of a 3 in 2 shot Super X load? I'm kinda stumped. Not something I can really be mad at, just gotta laugh it off I guess.

ya laff it off, but you really want to know why so it won't happen again. I have read that these and Benellis can come out of battery if you set them down and kinda bang the butt on the ground. That might be the cause. You can try doing this (bumping the butt on the ground) and see if it comes out of battery. I posted a link somewhere above to a youtube video of a gun cycling and you can see that the bolt doesn't just slam back into battery and stay put, it kind of bounces a bit. I found it interesting

As I posted earlier, it is actually a 15mm metric socket. You might want to put some blue Locktite on the nut as well. My stock kept coming loose but after applying the Locktite, I've have no more issues.

I'm wanting to switch between my pistol grip stck for turkey and then back to the regular stock for ducks. Would locktite mess that up?

Blue Locktite is designed for removal of threaded items with ordinary hand tools, Red Locktite is permanent (unless you have a blowtorch). You can switch your stocks if you use the Blue. Ask a gunsmith if you don't believe me.

I had the gun a few months & wanted to give it away. The thing just didnt cycle low end shells. My budy has a different modle than the 3500 and works perfect. I think botom line stoger just didnt do this gun right. :fingerhead: I would take it and trade it in for a 1187 thene  because you got a gun that works every time you pull the trigger.

Im thinking about getting the m3500 for this upcoming season to replace my retired 1100. I have held the gun before, and there is a noticeable difference between this gun and a benelli, but if it goes "bang" it can kill ducks. One thing I didn't like about this gun was the bead, can you change the bead? if so Id rather change it to a metal bead, or something different
