Haha...man I use to love it when I was younger, but even then all my spots were not really legal...eIther private property or construction sites. Only place I go any more is Hatteras, but now you need a permit and a stupid safety course...what a bunch of crap.

Be careful BIB, they dont mess around anymore. Lots of tickets to be paid and community service to be had. I know of a couple spots but I wouldn't dare go there again. Not worth it anymore.

Back in the 80's off roading was a daily thing and to find a place was no more then making a right turn and the mudding part was on the way out . Yep there are no legal spots then and willing to bet none today , power lines and logging roads are muddy but none can beat blazing a new trail .

 LD

try the marsh, its quite possibly the toughest challenge. Did a run with our atv's one year. Sunk em past the tires. 27" vampire swampers at that.....  Won't be doing that again. Thank God for winches..

you WILL get stuck at the powerlines. We dug those out so bad back when i was in high school you, could lose a bus in the hole. By the time it was all said and done, people were bringing full custom real deal mud trucks out there and still having to get towed out. York county PD is all over it these days though and i am older and wiser now so i stay out.

Kmart is filled now but wasn't much fun before. Just 2 deeps holes but nothing real sloppy.

And lbhansford knows what he's talking about with the powerlines.

There's another spot that was across from Walmart in Yorktown but I think that's been leveled too. I hadn't been there in 5 years when I got asked to leave.

Good luck finding somewhere legal. I've grown up since and haven't had any desire to intentional break the law. Nor do I have my samurai or SBC Toyota anymore. I've got too many responsibilities to pay unnecessary tickets or repairs.
