I have been debating on whether to get rid of my almost brand new Xtrema and Nova for a SBE. The trade difference would be minimal, but would it be worth it to trade two reliable shotguns for one? Thanks guys.

Are we talking a Camo Nova? AN Extrema or Extrema 2. And are we talking a SBE2 or a reg SBE. I have a reg SBE and wouldn't have anything else. BUT I would not trade an Extrema AND a Nova for a SBE. I am sure that if you were patient, you could find someone to trade you a SBE for your Extrema, and you'll be able to keep your Nova. Just my thoughts. BUT I would bet if you got the SBE you wouldn't shoot the Nova any more anyway

Well duckbuster06, I really don't know what to tell you buddy. If you were like me, I could have 5 guns, and really like 1 of the 5, anf that is all I would shoot. So the other 4 would not be used. That is just me though. The SBE is a great gun, but you also have 2 great guns. Beretta is a fantastic gun, and the Nova is arguably the best pump gun out there. If you are really unsure, save all your lunch money, and save up to get the SBE next year. Heck you even my be able to come across a super deal. Best of luck with whatever decision you make. :salude:

BTW= If you were after a reg SBE, then I have heard on the Benelli site that they are going for $900 brand new in some places (matte black). Can't beat that with a stick. I paid $1239 for mine (max4 camo) at about the same time the SBE2 came out

I think I'll take your advice and wait. The beretta is starting to grow on me. Has anybody had any experience with the Browning Gold autoloader? I have a Browning single shot but was wondering if anybody had any opinions on the Gold?

B Gold is OK. It is all about fit and feel for the most part. B Gold doesn't fit me like my 870 and Xtrema. SBE 2 feels real nice to me also! I like the X and SBE because of the shim systems that can be set to fit the shooter better.

I have the same debate going in by head as to if I should trade off an Xtrema and another gun for a SBE 2. Staying with the Xtrema for now. Shoots softer for me and I got it to shoot those 3 1/2" loads at geese. Also shoots my 1 oz target loads like a dream. Maybe I will keep saving and just get a SBE 2. For a waterfowl and turkey gun only I like the Xtrema. I like the extra weight for steady hold and smooth swing. For a one gun hunting 12 that I would carry all over I maybe would go for the SBE. I can't make up my mind; maybe that's why the safe is full.
