I have an older 500, and was experiencing the spent shell not ejecting. The extractor on the bolt would pull the spent shell from the barrel, but it would not completely disengage from the bolt and fly out. In the mean time, the first shell would eject from the magazine into the receiver, and a jammed mess would result. I finally found the corner of the ejector had either worn or broken off to the point that by the time the brass contacted the ejector, the bolt was pretty much all the way back, which caused the spent shell to just begin to be released from the bolt and extractor, without completely disengaging. About $8.00 and a new ejector later, it is good as new.
From what I can see, it looks like the ejector on the 835 is similar in design to the 500's ejector, although not exactly the same, and I am guessing it is broken or worn.
